Guntram Jakobs has been appointed director customer support, Terex mobile cranes for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia (EMEAR).
The move is to strengthen customer support as part of the company’s development strategy. “Our goal is to become the industry benchmark in this area,” said Thomas Schramm, Terex Cranes vice president for sales & service mobile cranes in the EMEAR region and responsible for the Demag brand worldwide. ”Service is of central importance here. With the appointment of Guntram Jakobs, the company has therefore entrusted the leadership of customer support in the EMEAR region to an experienced and highly respected employee in the industry,” Schramm continued.
Having joined the company in 1991 Jakobs can draw on extensive experience. He initially worked as a service engineer, spending several years in customer support positions in Europe and the USA. It included three years as head of service at the Charleston office in the USA.
