California central web site created

01 May 2008

NCCCO has assembled information on its website concerning certification in California into a dedicated area called California Central.

Designed to act as a central resource for operators and employers seeking to comply with the state's new requirement that mobile and tower crane operators be certified, the new area provides certification and training news and information from NCCCO as well as Cal-OSHA.

Documents included are: the official text of the regulation; NCCCO's and Cal-OSHA's Q&As on the new requirements; a list of current CCO Written Test Sites and available CCO Practical Testing; and access to firms providing training. The site also includes Cal-OSHA's Enforcement Instruction dated May 2005, and a Regulatory Alert from the Associated General Contractors of California (AGC). The new site can be reached at www.nccco.org/CaliforniaCentral.htm.
