Stafford has expanded its Terex Cranes territory to the US state of Alabama. With the territory expansion, Stafford now supports customers’ lifting needs exclusively in the states of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Maryland, according to the company.

Stafford is preparing to open a branch in Mobile, Alabama to support customers across the state.

"Stafford is one of our top crane dealers in North America and does an outstanding job of promoting our lines, increasing market share and supporting their customers after the sale with parts and service,” said Dave Kuhlman, senior regional business manager at Terex Cranes.

Scott Smith, director of sales at Terex Cranes, said, “Stafford has always placed heavy emphasis on product training so that their territory managers are not only well versed on the cranes they sell, but they also understand the needs of their customers. Stafford is also an organization that believes strongly in having units in stock and available for customers. There is a very long and prosperous history between Terex Cranes and Stafford, so it makes great sense for us to expand their area of responsibility.”

Terex Cranes' conversion to “lean manufacturing” has given its distributors an advantage during an era when product availability is critical, according to the company.

John Wall, Stafford president and CEO, said, “I’ve been to the various Terex crane production facilities for many years, and am more impressed each time I visit. With a strong emphasis on productivity, Terex Cranes has been able to greatly reduce the time it takes to produce a crane, meaning that we have what the customer needs quicker than ever before.”
