The AWRF Fall General Meeting and Product Information Exhibition in Denver, CO will be canceled.
After much deliberation and evaluation of current and possible future conditions, the AWRF Board of Directors and the Association’s Management Staff has announced that AWRF Fall General Meeting and Product Information Exhibition in Denver, CO will be cancelled.
The current Denver convention social distancing guidelines and meeting capacity limits, makes the opportunity of an AWRF meeting, essentially, impossible to hold. The company states that this decision was made after careful review of the most recent facts from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Visit Denver Convention Agency.
In a letter to members, Jeff Gilbert, Chief Executive of AWRF writes that while the outcome is not ideal, the company feels it is important to do their part in protecting the health and safety of members, their families, speakers, staff and vendors.
”The Board of Directors appreciates the time, effort, and resources that you have put into preparing for this event,” added Gilbert. “Like you, we have been working hard and were looking forward to coming together to network with customers and learn about new innovations. In the almost 45-year history of AWRF this will be the first time that both semi-annual meetings in the same year have been cancelled.”
The next AWRF meeting will be held in Wailea, Hawaii April 25-28, 2021.
