The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) has long maintained the core mission of providing the unique information and services members need to safely, legally and profitably transport, lift and erect oversize and overweight items. In addition to providing members with quality products, meetings and services, SC&RA takes great pride in disseminating quality and practical information to assist more than 1100 members in 46 nations manage day–to–day operations and develop your businesses.
As is the case with trade and professional associations around the world, SC&RA is fundamentally in the communication and information business. Over the last few years the Board of Directors and members have strongly supported the Association's successful efforts to constantly improve our media. From more substantive weekly newsletters to major strides in our monthly magazines, we remain committed to provide our members with information that can truly make a difference in your daily operations.
In January 2004, SC&RA entered a partnership with KHL Group for it to publish the Association's offcial magazines. As the world's leading organization in heavy lift and transportation, we are confident that we partnered with the world's leading publishing group for construction, crane, rigging, and heavy and specialized transportation.
For the last 18 months, SC&RA has worked with KHL Group to publish International Cranes & Specialized Transport, SC&RA's official, international magazine that goes to more than 17,000 readers around the world. The magazine continues to be extremely well received by our members and well supported by advertisers from all corners of the industry.
To maintain forward momentum and improve the information flow to our members in North America, SC&RA could not be more pleased than to partner with KHL Group in the launch of this new magazine, American Cranes & Transport. With an immediate circulation of more than 15,000 readers, we are extremely encouraged by what we see.
First, to ensure the quality of the information in our magazines, we recognize KHL's passion, energy and desire to serve the SC&RA membership and get involved in our programs. Without this strong cornerstone, our publications would be standard news and a basic venue for advertising. We want more than that for our members, and KHL has demonstrated a commitment to respond to our needs.
In launching this new magazine, the Association is delivering a quality vehicle that members can utilize to, among many other things: highlight or showcase your jobs; introduce new products and services; communicate opinions and facts on regulatory and legislative issues; convey insurance and risk management trends; and foster effective safety and other management practices.
With the introduction of American Cranes & Transport, SC&RA is providing our members with another communication tool and benefit that we trust will add value to your membership. We strongly encourage SC&RA members to submit newsworthy articles and information that can not only help to improve the visibility and credibility of your company but also make a difference in your great industry.
