The Terex Toplift 025 was developed for markets in China.

The new Terex Toplift 025G, a 25 metric ton capacity truck crane, was awarded first place for "Machinery Exterior Design and Quality" in China's 25- metric ton crane sector at BICES 2011.

The award follows the unveiling of the new Terex Toplift 025G and Terex Toplift 055G, 25 and 55 metric ton capacity class truck cranes, at an official ribbon-cutting ceremony attended at Bices 2011.

"We are proud to have won this award," said Frank Bardonaro, vice president & managing director global sales, Terex Cranes. "This marks a great start for the future success of our new Toplift truck cranes in China and Eastern Asia."

Designed to accomplish the most complex lifts, these new truck cranes are the result of the Terex Chang Jiang joint venture and are manufactured locally at the company facility in Luzhou.

Ken Lousberg, president, Terex Cranes, China, said: "Both of these new models are strongly inspired by feedback from our customers and distributors, and combine Chang Jiang's legacy for strength and lift performance with the latest Terex innovations."

Built specifically for China's largest crane market segment, the 25 metric ton capacity class Terex Toplift 025G features a new transmission that boosts maximum travel speeds by approximately 4 percent over previous class offerings to reduce transport time to jobsites. Once on site, its 39 percent grade ability and 267-mm ground clearance allow the crane to navigate on uneven terrain, so it can be positioned close to the pick. An enhanced braking system has improved braking function and system adjustments, the company said.

The crane's lightweight, powerful five-section boom offers a 39.05 meter fully extended boom length and 39.19 meter maximum lift height. Its 8.3 meter jib manually swings into position and offers 1- and 30-degree offset positions. With a fully extended boom, maximum lift height extends to 48.4 meterse when using the jib.

The Toplift 025G features a single or dual winch design and when secured into position with its four hydraulic outriggers, the Toplift 025G offers a 25,000-kg lift capacity at 3.5 meter radius.
