CM Labs launches AR application and advisory system

27 March 2019

CM Labs Simulations, developer of Vortex training simulators, will be launching its new Augmented Reality (AR) application, which makes it possible for instructors to bring a virtual mobile crane right into the classroom, where trainees can interact with it, conduct walkarounds and learn the fundamentals of machine inspection.

CM Labs Crawler crane - tandem lift

CM Labs’ tandem lift simulation will be exhibited for the first time.

Two training simulators will be on display at CM Labs’ booth: the Vortex Advantage and the desktop Vortex Edge Plus. Both simulators can run CM Labs’ full catalog of lifting and earthmoving training packs, including mobile crane, flat-top tower crane, luffing tower crane, crawler crane, excavator, wheel loader, Backhoe, Dozer, Motor Grader, and more.

SimGuide Service

The outcome of the SimGuide Service is a complete road map that details how and when organisations should use their simulator in order to achieve their targets.

Also featured at Bauma, CM Labs Simulations will show their newly launched advisory service for organizations looking to capitalize on their use of simulation-based technology. CM Labs’ SimGuide Service is designed to support companies at any stage of simulator adoption, whether they are developing a simulation-based training program for the first time, or extending the use of their existing Vortex simulator.

CM Labs’ SimGuide Service is ideal for clients who are looking to embed a simulator into new or existing training programs. It is also suited for companies who are incorporating simulation into new initiatives, such as operator cross-training, or as an operator recruitment and assessment tool.
