Crane Service's Grove 7550 gets to work on the Raton Bridge project

Albuquerque, USA-based rental firm Crane Service helped with the installation of 20 bridge beams, each 115 feet (35 metres) long, on the Raton to Colorado corridor.

The road is being expanded from a one-lane drive to a two-lane highway with a central reservation.

Crane Service used its Grove GMK7550 (GMK7450 outside the USA) all terrain mobile crane to set the 44 ton (40 tonne) beams at a radius of 45 feet (14 m). The project took four days.
