Dashney appointed to CRAC Boom Dolly Research Committee

The Crane Rental Association of Canada has announced the appointment of Jason Dashney as the new chair of the Boom Dolly Research Committee (BDRC). Dashney is the president of Myshak Crane & Rigging and has been an active member of the committee.

”We take this opportunity to acknowledge the leadership of Mr. Tim Bennett, vice president at NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Services who served as chair of this committee for the past two years,” the Association said. “Mr. Bennett was instrumental in advocating for the industry and providing excellent information on the economic impact of our industry. Bennett succeeded Dean Schmied and Tim Sittler whose efforts were instrumental for the creation of this committee back in late 2015.”

The Boom Dolly Research Committee has a three-prong approach: Advocate for changes to provincial regulations; develop best practices and research technical solutions.

“The Boom Dolly Research Committee was our very first advocacy committee and generated participation from members across North America,” said Ryan Burton, chairman of the board and managing director, Bigfoot Crane. “We owe a great deal of gratitude to these gentlemen and greatly appreciate Mr. Dashney taking on this leadership role”.

The Crane Rental Association of Canada’s members are crane rental companies, manufacturers and suppliers of cranes and equipment and supplier of services used in the specialty crane rental business in Canada.
