Dennis Tree AC60-3

Massachusetts-based Dennis Tree Service purchased a new Demag AC60-3, 65-ton, all terrain crane from Empire Crane Company.

Most of the work Dennis Tree performs is tree removal, and in the past the company utilized boom trucks for removal jobs. The crane’s first job was removing 16 pine trees from a residential area. The team individually lifted 7,000 -10,000 pound cuts of tree using a single linepull. The linepull on a AC60-3 is 15,000 pounds; more than double the linepull on Dennis’ previous machine. The Demag AC60-3 also features 164 feet of main boom, a 52-footdouble folding swing-away jib, tilting cab, Mercedes engine, cameras for added safety and the IC-1 Plus control system.

“The Demag AC60-3 is the industry leader for capacity and boom length in its class,” said Justin Melvin, general manager, Empire Crane New England. ”It’s compact and will be fast and easy for the crew to setup on each job location.” Empire Crane is an authorized dealer for Demag cranes in the traditional New England area. They not only offer new Demag cranes, but also stock Demag parts to eliminate downtime. Empire has multiple Demag certified level 5 technicians who travel to customers throughout the territory.
