Iowa–based Rew Materials has been contracted to deliver interior construction materials for the new $ 217 million Iowa Events Center in Des Moines.

Rew is using two IMT 16000 Series II and III hydraulic loader cranes to deliver materials four times a week. One of the largest deliveries completed so far was a 15.5 ton load of steel drywall framing studs, which were delivered by the IMT 16000 Series III which has a maximum lifting capacity of 3 tons (3.4 tonnes) at 42 feet (12 m) horizontal and a maximum lifting height of 54 feet (16 m).

The Iowa Events Center, which is due to be completed in 2006, will serve as an events, exhibits, sports and conference center. Construction began in March 2002.
