ACT is on Twitter

All the chit-chat is on Twitter! If you are not familiar with the social networking site, let us fill you in. Twitter is a free service for people to communicate through the exchange of 140 characters of text.

It's comparable to micro-blogging and allows intersected parties to receive updates from people they follow. From celebrities to news media, many use Twitter to send their "followers" information in quick, easy-to-read formats. But wait, what's a follower?

When you sign up for Twitter at http://twitter.com/, you can search for people by name, user name or import people from e-mail accounts and other networks. For instance, once you've found people, you can follow them by simply clicking the "follow" link under their username.

After signing up and creating an account, go to http://twitter.com/KHLgroupACT - American Cranes & Transport magazine's page - and click on the "follow" button directly under the logo. It's that simple, you will now receive ACT's updates - whether they are breaking news, product information, convention or tradeshow updates, or links to KHL.com stories.

And to curb confusion, "following" someone simply means you are receiving their updates via Twitter. So, every time ACT sends a "tweet" out, you will receive it either via the internet by visiting Twitter.com or by receiving an SMS (text) to your mobile phone. We encourage you to follow ACT on Twitter to receive news and information about the crane and transport industry. We want you to be informed, and with Twitter and ACT, you'll get the news you can use at the blink of an eye.
