US-based Bigge Crane and Rigging has added two new Grove rough terrain models to its fleet in Houston.

The Texas operation has acquired a RT9130E and the RT9150E, taking to six the number of machines Bigge has in these model types in Houston.

Launched just over three years ago, Bigge’s Texas operation is its fastest growing, with nearly 100 machines in its fleet. “We are adding capacity as fast as we can. These new high capacity RTs have immediately gone to work, and have been eagerly accepted by our customers,” said Brian Noga, Houston operations manager.

The Grove RT9150 has the largest lift capacity for any rough terrain crane anywhere. With 197 ft (60 m) of main boom and a 69 ft fixed jib, it has the reach and capacity of a 165-ton (150-tonne) all-terrain crane in the footprint of a two axle rough terrain.

The RT9130 offers 200 ft (61 m) of reach. It has maximum capacity of 130-tons (118-tonnes).

These large lift capacity units complement the Houston fleet of 36 Grove RT890E rough terrain cranes.
