Bryan Carlisle has been appointed chief executive officer at Maxim Crane in the USA, one of the world's largest crane rental companies.

For 33 years Carlisle has worked for Maxim and his family’s Carlisle Crane acquired by Maxim in 1999. Before this latest appointment he was chief operating officer and prior to that he was a senior vice president overseeing Maxim’s Midwest and Southeast regions and headed the crawler crane and tower crane product lines for the whole company.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity to lead a company that has been such a big part of my life and my career,” Carlisle enthused. “I strongly believe we have the deepest and most talented team in the industry. I am excited to work with our leadership group and all of Maxim’s dedicated employees to continue delivering the high levels of value and service our customers deserve.”

Carlisle said that the company’s top priorities are continuing to increase equipment utilisation, expanding and strengthening customer relationships, and maintaining Maxim’s relentless commitment to safety.

“Bryan has spent most of his life in the crane and construction industry and he has proven to be an exceptional leader,” said Louis Samson, partner at Platinum Equity, which acquired Maxim Crane in 2008. “He has an outstanding reputation in the industry and under his leadership I am confident we have the right people, equipment and resources to execute the strategic plan and continue delivering profitable growth.”

Maxim's former CEO, Art Innamorato, has left the company to pursue other interests, Maxim said.

The Maxim senior management team also includes the following:

* Frank Bardonaro, president of sales

* Randy Johnston, Central region president

* Larry Lis, Northeast region vice president

* Mark Swaney, West region president

* Joe Vaccarello, chief financial officer
