Clafl in joins Stafford board

Stafford Development Co. has added John F. Claflin to its board of directors. Claflin, a resident of Lexington, KY, retired from Link-Belt Construction Equipment Co., where he was employed for more than 30 years.

Claflin has been a leader in the crane industry, serving as a founding board member of the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). He was a board member and former president of the SC&R Foundation, a nonprofit entity established by the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) to foster research projects, education and scholarships.

DeNean Stafford, chairman of the board, said, “We're very excited about the addition of John Claflin to our board of directors. With his rich experience in the equipment industry, we know that he will be a tremendous addition to our board.

”Stafford, the equipment sales and service member of The Stafford Companies, started in Tifta, GA in 1951 as Reliable Tractor. Today, the company represents several construction equipment manufacturers including Terex Cranes and Kobelco Cranes.
