Crane America names new staff

Demag Cranes & Components subsidiary Crane America Services named Rick Smith as vice president of sales and marketing in October. In this position, Smith will be responsible for managing sales operations, providing strategies and programs for customers while increasing Crane America's market share, revenue and margin growth throughout its 31 US locations. He brings nearly 15 years of industry experience to his new position.

Crane America has also named Kristi L. Cain as director of human resources and safety. With more than 17 years of progressive generalist experience in the manufacturing industry, she will oversee the management of Crane America's human resource and safety operations. Her responsibilities include consulting with management on employee relations issues, reviewing and recommending procedures and practices, overseeing training, directing benefit programs, monitoring safety programs, and coordinating and monitoring employee recruitment.
