Cropac places big order with Manitex

Cropac Equipment of Oakville, Ontario, Canada placed a more than $6 million order for 54 Manitex boom trucks, both companies have confirmed.

A long-time Manitex dealer, Cropac's order includes heavy lift and wireline models, ranging from the 26-ton capacity Manitex 2610C to the 38-ton capacity Manitex 38124 SHL.

CROPAC retails and services cranes across eastern Canada, representing Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime provinces.

The new orders will begin shipping in the second half of the first quarter of 2007, according to Randy Robertson, director of sales for Manitex.

According to a press release, Cropac is anticipating a brisk market for the coming year and is positioning itself to service its customers by ensuring a ready supply of Manitex cranes.
