Deep South Crane & Rigging buys two Terex crawlers.

Deep South Crane & Rigging of Baton Rouge, La., added two Terex lattice boom crawler crane models to their fleet of more than 200 pieces of lifting equipment. The new crane acquisitions include the 440-ton capacity class, Terex CC 2400-1, and the 1,760-ton Terex CC 8800-1.

The CC 8800-1 delivers the highest lifting capacities in Deep South’s crawler crane fleet. The crane’s design allows for components to be quickly disassembled into weights of less than 49 tons for easier, faster and cheaper transport. Since it is a standard production model, crane assembly is much easier and faster once on site.

The CC 2400-1 will assist the CC 8800-1 crane with lifting projects at petrochemical sites and on infrastructure projects. Its compact design offers transport ease, while a small footprint helps improve maneuverability at tight project sites. The crane’s variable superlift system radius boosts lift capacities while minimizing space requirements and counterweight transport, while its jib configurations offer a wide range of lift options to increase versatility.
