Franna grows popularity in U.S.

With a heritage of design and engineering excellence, Franna has produced pick and carry cranes for more than 40 years and they are working in over 30 different countries.

The Franna AT 22 made its debut in 2020 at ConExpo in Las Vegas.

After its debut at ConExpo Con/Agg in 2020, the Franna AT 22 made its way to work at a large LNG project in the southern United States. One company that was particularly intrigued by the Franna unit was Powerscreen New England.

“I think the biggest misconception is that the Franna product is only suitable for mine sites or that it should maybe be operated as a yard crane when it is so much more than that,” said Seamus Sheelan, president, Powerscreen New England. “We have deployed the AT 22 in numerous applications from changing out trommel drums to helping install crushing and screening plants. We continue to find new ways to use this machine.”

Andreas Ernst, general manager of Terex Cranes Americas, said the unique concept of the Franna pick and carry crane will be soon accepted by many customers in North America.

“The feedback of Powerscreen New England confirms the flexibility and versatility the Franna pick and carry crane offers not only to mining operations, but also to rigging companies and heavy equipment dealerships. I am convinced that the Franna is the perfect solution to increase safety while moving loads and adds versatility to many different applications.”
