Boom truck specialist Giuffre Brothers Cranes is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Founded by Frank Giuffre in Milwaukee in 1963, Giuffre Brothers Cranes, Inc. is now the country’s largest supplier of boom trucks for the construction and roofing industry.
“I started the business right out of high school as an owner-operator with one used dump truck,” said Frank P. Giuffre, Sr., president of Giuffre Brothers Cranes, Inc.
In 1965, brother Dominic joined and they invested in their first five-ton crane. By 1972, the brothers had acquired a dozen pieces of machinery, including trucks, cranes and excavators. Today, they operate a fleet of rental boom trucks with lifting capacities from 17 to 35 tons, as well as offering attachments, and providing sales and servicing of Terex boom trucks.
Giuffre Brothers Cranes has also expanded geographically, and now operates in the Chicago, Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Palm Beach markets.
