Japan-headquartered manufacturer HSC (Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Cranes Co) has launched a new version of its 275 tonne capacity crawler crane, the SCX2800A-3, to the market.

Powered by a Cummins L9 engine, the crane complies with the latest EU stage V exhaust emissions regulations for sale in Europe.

Its control system now features an ECO winch mode and an auto idle stop function.

To ensure that workers can safely work on the crane, handrails on the catwalks have been standardised and access to the machine has been improved.

Though the winch remains the same, the crane has been updated with more eco-friendly and safer design to meet the requirements on job sites, the company said.
