Hund joins MCG as vice president

Robert M. Hund has been hired as vice president, worldwide marketing for Manitowoc Crane Group. With more than 18 years experience, Hund will be responsible for strategic planning, direction, and execution of marketing functions. He succeeds and will report to Larry Bryce, who was promoted in October to the new role of vice president, business development for the crane group.

According to a company press release, Hund will work closely with the executive team, regional leadership, and sales and marketing teams to set and implement global market penetration efforts across all product lines. His focus will be on all aspects of crane group marketing, including product marketing, marketing communications, and operational marketing. He will also be responsible for leading the global new product development team.

Prior to coming to Manitowoc, Hund worked for Caterpillar Inc in a range of roles. He began his career as a manufacturing and systems engineer and later changed to marketing, working with construction and mining trucks. He served in international assignments for Caterpillar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Munich, Germany.

Hund has a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University, a Masters of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, and a MBA from Millikin University.
