Hydrostatic Terex Noell to El Salvador

The Port of Acajutla, El Salvador, will be the first container terminal in Central America to get a Terex Noell straddle carrier model NSC 634 H with hydrostatic drive.
Port owner Comisión Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma (CEPA) expects the new carrier to give a 25 to 30% reduction in operating costs over previous units. Benefits include lower fuel consumption and less wear on parts, Terex said.
Diesel-mechanical machines have traditionally dominated the market at Central American terminals.
Terex acquired Noell Mobile Systems GmbH in 2009.
