By D.Ann Shiffler26 October 2016
On Tuesday October 25, Terex Cranes sent its customers a letter advising them that the acquisition of IHI Construction Machinery Limited by Kato Works Co., Ltd will not affect the agreement between Terex and IHI regarding crawler crane chassis production.
The letter said: “As you may be aware, Terex and IHI Construction Machinery Limited have a long standing agreement that consists of IHI Construction Machinery Limited providing Terex Cranes crawler chassis for use in the production of Terex HC crawler cranes built in Oklahoma City for exclusive distribution in the United States and Canada. The basis of this agreement has and will remain unchanged for the foreseeable future.”
