Koenig K60 launched in North America

30 April 2008

The Koenig Cranes model K60 self erecting tower crane, pictured right, is now available in North America. The 5 ton capacity crane, which has a 131 foot boom, has a standard under hook clearance height of 80 feet or 144 feet when operating with the jib in a 30 degree luffing position.

According to the manufacturer, the crane was developed to offer customers a high lifting capacity at an extended reach.

Koenig says that the crane will “deliver a significant return to its owners while meeting the most demanding needs of the construction industry.”

The K60's introduction onto the North American market will be followed later this year with the launch of the K70 model, which also has a 5 ton lifting capacity but on a longer boom of 147 feet.
