USA-based crane manufacturer Shuttlelift has delivered a DB70 double-beam gantry crane to KW Precast in Burlington, Wisconsin. The crane shipped in December and KW Precast put it into service in January.

KW Precast’s Burlington operation opened in mid 2012. Already, the 90-acre site has a 50-ton mobile gantry crane but decided to add the 70-ton unit after an increase in orders for early 2013.

Dan Reinholtz, sales manager for Shuttlelift, said KW Precast approached Shuttlelift with a need for quick delivery when it received a spring 2013 contract for bridge girders and parking-garage double tees.

Ming King, a former chief engineer for J.W. Peters, and Craig Wagenbach, who also co-owns Illinois-based Illini Precast Co. with King, owns KW Precast.
