LGH acquires Rigging Gear Sales of Tennessee

24 April 2008

Lifting Gear Hire Corporation has acquired Rigging Gear Sales in Nashville, TN. Established in 1997, Rigging Gear Sales of Tennessee distributes heavy lifting products and specializes in lifting, jacking, pulling and rigging equipment rental.

Tony Fiscelli, general manager of Lifting Gear Hire US headquarters in Bridgeview, IL, commented, “We can now expand our capacity range and extensive inventory to provide a world-class turnkey solution to our clients.”

Fiscelli said one of the main reasons for the purchase was the location. “Prior to the acquisition, we were serving our Tennessee and Kentucky customers through our Chicago and St. Louis distribution centers, which are both a considerable distance away,” Fiscelli explained. “Purchasing Rigging Gear Sales of Tennessee will allow us to better serve existing LGH customers in the area, acquire new customers in that location more easily and better serve existing Rigging Gear Sales customers.”

Additions to Lifting Gear Hire's inventory as a result of the acquisition include large capacity hydraulic gantries, high capacity air skates, and an increase in inventory of hoists, come-alongs, trolleys, clamps, winches, hydraulic jacks and cylinders.

Lifting Gear Hire Corporation, a subsidiary of LGH Group plc, specializes in the rental, sales, service, inspection and testing of lifting and winching equipment and stocks more than 80,000 pieces of lifting, pulling, jacking and rigging equipment. LGH has operations in the US, UK, Holland and Germany.
