The 110 tonne capacity crane has a seven-section, 60 metre main boom with a 10.8 to 19 metre double swing-away fly jib that can be offset to 40 degrees. A five-axle machine, it has a maximum lifting height of 91 metres and lifting radius of 66 metres.

Emerson’s managing director Liam Clancy said, “We are thrilled to announce the arrival of the first mobile crane equipped with LICCON3 in the UK, marking a significant milestone for our business. We take pride in offering our customers the latest technology integrated into the LTM 1110-5.2.

“The advancements in this model enhance its performance which better caters to the needs of our clients’ projects. Additionally, our operators can look forward to operating a Liebherr machine that is not only state-of-the-art but also provides comfort and ease of use for years to come. The revamped front cab adds a modern touch to the aesthetics of this 110 tonne crane, setting it apart from others in our fleet. We eagerly anticipate seeing this exceptional machine in action, serving our customers effectively in the years ahead.”

The crane features the third generation of Liebherr’s control system, LICCON, as well as a ZF TraXon gearbox with DynamicPerform clutch and the latest driver and superstructure cabins.

An improved touchscreen display in the cab gives the operator easier and more comfortable control.

Emerson opted for the central lubrication system on the carrier, a fast-change ballast system for easy reduction of axle weights and remote control and biodegradable hydraulic oil.

“As a self-contained unit carrying all its 29 tonnes of counterweight here in the UK, we expect the LTM 1110-5.2 to be a big hit with our customers and their clients,” said Steve Elliot, Liebherr’s area sales manager.

“It has exciting changes compared with its predecessors, with a particular focus on operator comfort, ease of operation and improved performance thanks to the new control system.”

The crane model was last updated in November 2021 with updates to the crane control system, the driver’s cab and the gearbox.
