Maestro

30 April 2008

To upgrade load moment indicator (LMI) systems installed on older boom trucks and hydraulic cranes, Hirschmann Electronics has introduced the Maestro. This new system has a central unit, console and a range of accessories. To retrofi t Maestro and replace an old PAT LMI, the central unit is replaced with a more compact version in the operator cab's console Hydraulic pressure transducers are also installed.

The original data and load chart information is then loaded into the central unit and, after sensor alignment via the console, the crane is ready for operation without needing to be recalibrated. The original length and angle sensors, the A2B switch and the electrical wiring from the old PAT LMI system can be used. Wireless sensors can also be installed to operate with the new LMI.
