Maxim Crane Works continues to expand with the acquisition of five branch locations and purchasing the core crawler assets of Essex Crane Rental

Maxim Crane Works continues its expansion by acquiring the core fleet of crawler cranes from Essex Crane Rental Corp. In addition, USA-based Maxim Crane has acquired branch facilities in Alabaster, AL; Kansas City, KS; Arcola, TX; Tampa, FL; and the Seattle, WA area.

"We are excited to continue our expansion into these markets as well as adding the former Essex core fleet to Maxim Crane's national fleet of equipment," said Bryan Carlisle, CEO. "Maxim Crane is committed to strengthening its position as a true coast-to-coast lifting solutions provider to all of our customers. These new locations enable Maxim to offer full service operations in areas that we have previously covered on a project basis.”

Maxim Crane Works also recently completed the merger of AmQuip Crane Rental and its affiliated companies. Maxim now has 46 branches and more than 2,500 cranes.

"We are continuously improving our fleet mix, geographic coverage and team to meet the growing demands of our customers," said Frank Bardonaro, COO. "The recent addition of AmQuip Crane, Crane Rental Corp. and now the former Essex core fleet provides Maxim Crane with an unprecedented geographic footprint, one-stop-shop capabilities, and the best talent available in the industry. The significant addition to our national crawler fleet further ensures that we can provide our customers with every type of crane needed, anywhere in the USA. Our strategy and results continue to reinforce our commitment to safety, service and profitable growth.”

Carlisle said the company has a specific goal.

"Maxim Crane is committed to providing our customers with 24/7 lifting solutions that focus on safety, customers and our employees," Carlisle said. "Our ability to ensure that our customers can rely on Maxim to service their projects anywhere and anytime is the ultimate driving force behind our corporate growth strategy. We are going to continue to rely on our experienced leadership team to identify regional and national needs of our customers to ensure that we are able to provide unmatched safety, service and coverage throughout the country.”
