McGovern adds Liebherr MK 140-5.1 crane

A five axle mobile folding construction crane from Liebherr has joined the McGovern Crane Hire fleet in the UK.
The new MK 140-5.1 is the successor model to the MK 140, largest of the MK series of mobile folding cranes. It was handed over in February at Liebherr Great Britain headquarters in Bedfordshire, north of London.
The latest technology
Commenting on his new arrival Kieran McGovern, McGovern Crane Hire director, said, “We’re excited to welcome the MK 140-5.1 to our fleet. Since returning to the tower crane market in 2017, we’ve successfully built a steady customer base by providing modern, safe, reliable and high-quality mobile tower crane hire, addressing the crucial industry demand. Owning one of the UK’s first MK 140-5.1 further cements our market position by providing the latest technology to our customers. The improved charts in 15 degree and 45 degree luffing are a great addition to the crane, allowing us to take on even more complex projects.”
McGovern also praised the VarioJib option for more complicated jobs and said it is first of four new Liebherrs to be delivered in 2024.
