New global CEO at Fagioli

International heavy lift and transport specialist Fagioli in Italy has appointed Fernando Bertoni as its new global chief executive officer.

Bertoni “will lead the Fagioli group with the aim of accelerating growth in the company’s key underlying markets, leveraging on Fagioli’s solid customer positioning, widely recognised technical capabilities and unique global presence,” the company said.

For his part Rocco Sabelli, chairman of the Board of Directors which appointed Bertoni, said, “Fernando brings over 30 years of global operating experience and a unique track-record, which will be critical to lead the company to the next stage of growth and excellence.”

Bertoni said, “I am extremely excited about this unique opportunity and thankful to QuattroR and the Fagioli family for their trust and support. Together with the Board of Directors and Fagioli’s senior leadership team, we will work together as one solid team to continue to provide first class technical support and solving our customers’ most challenging logistical issues around the world.”

Bertoni’s background is in the international engineering and energy industries, He was chairman and CEO at global automotive and industrial supplier UTIL Group, after holding the same position at COROB Group. Before that Bertoni worked for more than 18 years at General Electric in Europe and Brazil.
