New Load Monitoring System for harbor logistics

The load monitoring system PS 01 from Tecsis GmbH is especially designed for harbor cranes and guarantees a safe and reliable operation. The system monitors such important parameters as crane arm angle and load, and prevents overload situations by intervening into the crane control, according to the manufacturer.

The system consists of a central operating and electronic unit and the respective force transducers for load measurement and an inclination sensor measuring the crane arm angle. The force transducers are available in different geometries allowing an easy integration into the crane design. All force transducers are equipped with the thin-film sensors from Tecsis, which ensure excellent creep properties, high precision and reliability. The miniaturized design of the measurement cell-the diameter is only 7 mm-allows the positioning of the sensor directly into the force flow of the system.
