To fortify their all terrain crane fleet, the ALL Family of Companies has purchased the a new LTM 1500-8.1.
With a rated capacity of 600 tons, it is the second largest mobile crane in the ALL fleet. Sized to work in refineries, industrial plants, and wind farms, the eight-axle crane has a seven-section telescopic boom that extends to 276 feet. With the lattice jib, the Liebherr can reach a hoisting height up to 476 feet at a radius of 354 feet. The addition of a Y-guying system gives support to the boom, adding remarkable load capacity, particularly when lifting high but at a short radius, the company said.
"This crane has an incredible chart and adds muscle to our Canadian yards - a territory that's hungry for such a beast of a crane," says Michael Liptak, president of the ALL Family of Companies.
He said the 600-ton crane will immediately go to work at ALL Canada Cranes & Aerials, serving its three yards.
"Our Canadian operation has expanded with two new yards-a second one in Ontario and another in Newfoundland and Labrador," Liptak said.
