Nooteboom acquires Kennis Trailers

24 April 2008

Netherlands: Specialized transport equipment manufacturer Nooteboom Holding has acquired Kennis Trailers, which specializes in the manufacture of brick-carrying trailers for the construction industry. Annually it produces more than 100 semi-trailers, mainly for markets in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and the UK.

The acquisition is “a good match for the business plans of other Nooteboom Holding subsidiaries”, according to the company. Plans call for substantial growth for Kennis and the expansion of its service centers.

Kennis Trailers BV will be an independent company within Nooteboom Holding, and initially will maintain its locations in Pacton and Ommen, but it will move to the Nooteboom plant in Wijchen later in the year. Marcel Schoorl will remain responsible for sales at Kennis.
