PM presents new models at SAIE

04 March 2008

The PM Group presented several products at the SAIE 2007 in Bologna, Italy last fall, including numerous product innovations.

The PM Business Unit (hydraulic cranes for trucks), announced new versions of its Classic line, with the 10, 14, 16 and 19P series with the PM Power Tronic Compact system (an electronic control solution patented by PM). Derived from the Power Tronic system installed on models with greater capacities, the system electronically controls the boom and also allows to control all the crane functions through the high speed transmission of data. This simplifies and reduces communication among various devices and offers an increase in lifting capacity, improving machine performance. The Power Tronic Compact system, already present on other models of the PM range, allows constant monitoring of the movements and conditions of the crane and, with the CAN-BUS system, makes transmitting data faster.

Due to the advantages offered by electronics, greater safety in moving the vehicle can be obtained (even in overload conditions), along with greater ease in monitoring data on an LCD display.
