Sterling Lumber Company announces new president

Sterling Lumber, a Chicago area producer of Crane and Access Mats, announced Shane Green has been hired as President. Carter Sterling will assume the role of CEO. It is the first time in 65 years that the Sterling Company business will be run by someone other than a Sterling family member.

Shane was most recently President of Homer Industries LLC in Lockport, IL, that employs roughly 120 people in multiple divisions. Prior to that, he spent over a decade in the banking industry.

Carter Sterling will be taking the position of CEO and as such will be able to ensure that the business retains the Sterling family's values and culture.
