Palfinger has expanded its operations in Sweden with the opening of a sales and service centre in Jordbro, near Stockholm.

The crane, aerial work platform and materials handling equipment manufacturer headquartered in Austria acquired its Swedish sales partner, Hinz, three years ago. Now it has opened a 4,000 square metre facility to strengthen its customer support, backed up in co-operation with its country headquarters in Borlänge.

Commenting on the latest expansion Gerhard Sturm, Palfinger senior vice president global sales and service, said, “While other companies are withdrawing from some markets, we are increasing our service presence and thus focusing even better on our customers and their needs in our core regions, such as Stockholm. It is our strategy to be as close to the customer as possible. We want to establish and expand long-term and successful partnerships by further strengthening our position as number one in Sweden.”
