Crane manufacturer Tadano is temporarily halting production of cranes at four of its factories due to component shortages.

The component shortages are due to a lack of semi conductors, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the impact on the supply chain of the most recent corona virus lock downs in China.

Suspension dates
Production will be suspended between 9 and 13 May at the Kozai and Shido plants in Japan. Products affected will be rough terrains, truck cranes and all terrains.

In Germany, due to the shortage of semi conductors and the war in Ukraine, the Tadano Demag and Tadano Faun factories halted production on 12 April. As at 19 April further suspension was under consideration for the month of May.

The company said it would disclose any impact of the production suspension on its financial results.
