Weighing up to NTEP

30 April 2008

Intercomp's CW250 portable electronic scale with infrared remote control now has NTEP (National Type Evaluation Program) approval to comply with national requirements. The scale is offered in 14 different models with capacities from 150 to 2000 pounds. The die-cast aluminum unit is available with platforms at 15x15x4 inches or 24x24x4 inches. The larger pad weighs 85 pounds and the smaller 38 pounds.

To allow up to 25 hours of continuous use between charges, the scale is controlled by a hand-held infrared transmitter and powered by six AA-size rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries. The CW250 is said to be ideal for weighing drums up to 55-gallon size, chlorine cylinders, propane bottles, freon tanks, fi re extinguishers and similar applications.
