North American crane repair and restoration firm WHECO Worldwide Services has released a free educational eBook called ‘The Crane Accident Mitigation Manifesto’ which provides information on how to respond to and manage the post-accident experience.

Available to download from the WHECO website, the eBook covers: Crane Accidents and Some Hard Truths, Crane Recovery and Its Impact, Top 5 Reasons to Hire a Qualified Crane Appraiser, and How to Prevent Underbidding Repairs and Avoid Supplemental Costs.

“We believe that education in our industry is paramount, and the team here at WHECO has made a strong commitment to teach others about subject matters that will serve to improve the industry as a whole and save crane owners and insurance companies money,” said Jay Shiffler, vice president of business development, WHECO.

WHECO also provides a blog and newsletter on topics ranging from crane repair and restoration to crane safety and inspection. Further educational materials are planned, according to Jacob Voncannon WHECO’s marketing coordinator, who said that free resources would be made available on a quarterly basis.
