Wilbert in administration

Tower crane manufacturer Wilbert in Germany has gone into administration with the implementation of insolvency proceedings.
On 25 January Wilbert Tower Cranes GmbH in Waldlaubersheim registered at the District Court of Bad Kreuznach for insolvency proceedings. Insolvency lawyer Martin Lambrecht will continue to operate the company with all 129 employees, a statement read.
Unaffected by the bankruptcy proceedings, are the separate companies Wilbert Crane Service GmbH in Stromberg and Wilbert Montage GmbH in Warmsroth, Germany.
Wilbert Tower Cranes moved in 2008 to a 120,000-square-foot, newly built facility at an industrial park in Waldlaubersheim to develop and manufacture its modern WT e.tronic series of top slewing tower cranes.
Application of Wilbert tower cranes included the renovation of the Zwillingstürme (Twin Towers) building of the Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and the construction and renovation of Frankfurt skyscrapers the Silver Tower and the Opera Tower.
Lambrecht, from the law firm Leonhardt of Düsseldorf, said, “For customers and suppliers it is important that the operation continues undisturbed. Also, I want to emphasise that neither Wilbert Crane Service GmbH nor for the Wilbert assembly GmbH are involved in a bankruptcy application.”
Also unaffected, according to Sarens, is the Wilbert-Sarens joint venture to supply heavy lift tower cranes.
