Willis promoted at wheco Aiken

John Willis at WHECO was recently promoted to operations manager at the company's new Aiken, SC facility. He brings a strong background in the construction and crane industry to the company that offers structural repair and restoration services for damaged and aging cranes.

With a BSM from Southern Wesleyan University, Willis is a certified crane operator, among the first 2,000 certified by NCCCO. He worked as a crane operator and was a crane erection crew member for crawlers, mobile towers and static towers for Kelley Equipment in Florida. He was also a journeyman ironworker and a journeyman.

As a field superintendent for Bridgestone Firestone Plant, he implemented and designed many special lift applications, and was a member of the 2002 SC&RA rigging job of the year team at Clemson University's Littlejohn Arena as a heavy lift crane operator.
