Wireless weighing

30 April 2008

The MSI-9260 is a new motion compensated crane scale designed for the scrap metal and recycling industries. The weighing system, installed between the crane boom and magnet, has battery power and radio communications so there are no wires to install. The standard system, including the MSI-3750CS digital weight indicator for the crane cab, displays the lifted weight and can also total a series of lifts. When the speci. ed weight has been acquired, there are audible and visual signals to alert the operator.

Measurement System International's MSI-9260 combines CellScale technology with MSI's crane scale to give a wireless data-gathering network suitable for process control, safety monitoring and weight-related data collection. Radio transmission of real time weight and product information can be networked and communicated to additional CellScale indicators and modems. The MSI-9260, is suitable for severe applications, MSI says.
